Poorly refracted light is no longer entering the retina properly, and delivers only partial information to your brain, creating blurry vision. If you have myopia or nearsightedness, your lenses are convex, meaning they have slight curve that pushes the light toward the top and bottom of the lens to allow for proper entrance inot the retina. If you have hyperopia or nearsightedness, your lenses are concave, meaning the design works to push the light towards the center for proper vision.
